Thanks to rain delays, the current leader just completed his third round.  I'm sure he'll hang on for the win- because as I understand it, he's DY-NO-MITE!

I'm not a fan of having just one tourney separating majors.

And they are playing lift, clean, and place in the final round.  That's just not right. That's something you do at The Colonial or the Hartford Open.

I guess the addition of golf to the Olympics this year kind of forced the move.  And it's a Ryder Cup year, too.  So the late-season calendar is pretty full.

I was really looking forward to seeing Golf in Rio until all the best players pulled out.

I saw him on TV yesterday and said the exact same thing.

I'm sure the Olympics had something to do with it, but I still don't like it.  More than just golf are turning in to a dud with the issues Rio is having.

Glad to see the 'Murican win, but I'm really pulling for Jason Day to break through and win one of these soon. Hopefully against some douchebag like Ian Poulter.

EDIT: I forgot that he won it last year.  So nevermind.

Walker is fortunate that he survived that brain fart.

And that was pure clutch for Day to eagle 18 to give himself a chance.  It's really hard not to like the guy.

Couldn't believe he went for the green there....7 iron layup then a sand wedge to 15 feet. Glad he won.

I was pulling for Day, but I was glad Walker did not meltdown - that would have been too sad to watch.  Mr DY-NO-MITE played a heckuva tourney.

Being an Uh-mur-eh-kun I always pull for the homeboys to win The Masters, US Open, and PGA Championship because it is on our own soil.

But I do like Day a lot, my second favorite non-American golfer behind Miguel Angel Jimenez.  As I posted earlier in this thread, it's hard not to like Day.   He's a good guy, a hell of a golfer, and genuinely appears to appreciate the opportunity to live and earn a great living in the United States.

As for Miguel Angel, anybody who likes big fat cigars, red wine, and single malt whiskey the way he does just has to be a good guy.

Maybe had a bit too much of the latter two before the final round as he made some questionable decisions but still almost pulled it off

Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.
