Title: SEC West vs. SEC East

Yes the East is down.  All three traditional powers are in the crapper.  The East was carried by Florida for a few years, but when Urbie got on the crazy train to loonypalooza that all changed.

Since 2007, neither UT nor Georgia has been very good either, so as the article says it's all about cycles.  I fondly recall the days in the late 90s neither UF nor UT lost to a West team for something like 4-5 years.

Looking forward to those days coming back (but only for UT, natch).

It's just a transition time in the East.  That may last for a couple more years, but there is no reason to believe that UT, UF and UGA won't be power houses again.  I still think Dooley was a good pick and will prove to be a good coach in the long run, if UT has the patience. Muschamp is a question mark, but the Wiess hire was a good one, IMO. So, UF may only take a couple of years to get back to the top. Richt will be gone next year, and they will have a transition.

Of course, I wouldn't mind seeing the West's power continue, assuming that Auburn is still in the West this time next year (hello, aTm).
