Title: Just listened to Jackie Sherril on expansion.... Post by: Oldvol75 on August 16, 2011, 10:53:31 EDT He said that when the PAC 10 started the expansion talk that their goal is the PAC 20! He said that if they do that the rest of the big conferences will follow suit! Thoughts?

2) However, expansion will come and it's going to be a race for the best markets. With that in mind it's better to be proactive. 3) 20 teams isn't far-fetched. Part of expansion is playing defense and keeping valuable properties away from competitors. UNC, Duke, NC State, VT, UVA, Maryland and FSU are all valuable. I could see three conference made up of the most valuable teams and another conference made up of o.k., but not great teams like WVU, Clemson, etc. The Mississippi schools should be very thankful they ended up where they are. |
