Yep, tore the tendon away from the bone and tore each of the muscles in the hamstring muscle group. Consultation with surgeon tomorrow (today) now. I have an appointment with a specialist scheduled for Tuesday back in Northern Virginia. According to the surgeon at the Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic, the "complete" tendon tear may actually be a "nearly complete" tear and the muscle tears should heel over time as usual. So, there's still a chance, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I tried to "man-up" when I had my hip replaced because I have a pretty high pain tolerence. I didn't think I felt all that bad. After all, I had gone 18 years since I was told to have the hip replaced. I sure made those around me miserable when I shouldn't have. It pains your family whan they know you hurt and I was probably a bigger a-hole than I thought I was at the time. Second peice of advice: It will be a very long time between now and whenever it is that you will get waited on, hand and foot, like this again; MAKE THE MOST OF IT!!!
