When I got to Knoxville in '92, I was introduced to Kessling. However, I'm from Chattanooga and Randy Smith was a fixture down there for many years before that. He's one reason Kessling doesn't freak me out as much as some others. I do believe it is possible Smith was a major "broadcaster" influence for Bob Kessling's at some early point in his career.
