I've said for years that their overall talent level was bad. That Peyton made the offensive line look good because of how fast he could make a decision and get rid of the ball. That the defense was one of the worst in the league (well, they are OK in the secondary). On D, they used to have the best DE tandem in the league. Don't know if you can still say that's the case, but I will agree their D was soft last year.
I think they win games for sure. I don't know why they might think bringing Collins in with two weeks to prepare would work though. IMO they would be better off starting whatever backup they had. |
