Title: Game Summary from my view Post by: PirateVOL on October 09, 2011, 04:39:40 EDT Our run game wasn't as bad as I feared, when we were still in the game. Our passing game suxed.
Da'Rick caught passes Arnett ran out routes all night No other WR was near a completion, even on the rare occasion when thrown to. Rivera played well early but where was he in the 2nd half? Lane playe well After putting the ball on the ground twice Neal had a ringside seat the rest of the night Defense? Teague was beat at least 6 times. Whether he was left alone on the corner or the freshman FS was out of position I do not know. When we put Prentice back at FS those throws stopped. No pressure on Murray all night. Those long throws that beat Teague take time to develop and Murray had more than sufficient time to roast a hot dog, drink a cold one and then throw the pass. Watching on TV I didn't see Maggitt as much of a factor. AJ was either a non factor or out of position, a recurring theme. Austin Johnson played well early, not so much in the 2nd half. A few bright spots on the short bus teams, the three deep kickoffs were well placed and deep, and well covered. Young will break one before the year is out. Coaching? No answers to uga's adjustments at the half. Future? SImms will be the QB next week. The question will be who the B/U is. Do we pull Worley's RS? Though Teague got toasted several times, maybe the FS was a big part of it. Sure looks that way. |
