Title: Re: Craig James in Texas GOP Senate race; to leave ESPN Post by: BanditVol on December 21, 2011, 04:29:38 EST Yeah, he lost all credibility for me with the fiasco over his son. He was throwing his influence around, to say the least, and almost certainly helped a coach get unfairly (IMO) fired. I thought he was okay before that...the "happy feet" comment did not bother me as it did some Vol fans.
IMO, this is a face-saving way for him to exit ESPN. He has had a far less prominent role this year and has looked almost sheepish when he did appear in front of the camera. I haven't really looked into his actual chances of election, but I would guess they are slim. Who knows though, I can think of a couple other politicians that Texans have elected....and I will leave it at that. Title: Re: Craig James in Texas GOP Senate race; to leave ESPN Post by: Ridge Runner on December 21, 2011, 06:08:50 EST It appears that he's gotten a late start in his campaign and he's up against some veteran, entrenched politicians. So it's unlikely he'll win, and he's off ESPN. Win win.
