I want Tebow to stick it to the haters. All of the experts out there in the NFL ol' boys club who are so arrogant to think that nobody can change the way the game is played and especially by a guy who is a true role model in every sense of the word... they are all slackjawed right about now.

I hated him when he was at Florida but the guy is a winner.

I'm pulling for Arian and the Texans.  But I don't think they get past next week with their QB situation.

I can't pull for the Texans, Arian or not. I hate them. They are really good though and their defense plus the running game makes them a threat.

I'm not sure if I'm rooting for Denver to win it all... I really like the Saints and the Packers.

almost a correction, maybe sense of the phrase would be more appropriate. Left teaching 5 years ago and still grading papers.

I'm a big Tebow fan too, wish nothing but success for the guy.

But of the teams left, I probably like the Saints and Packers the most.  I will say Saints, because I really like Drew Brees as a player and as a person.

I also can't stand that tool Merrill Hoge.

To hell with the saints.  They must be fizzleing destroyed.  I'll root for the Packers to win it all if Aaron Rodgers promises to make those stupid "discount doublecheck" ads go away. :laugh:

Denver has been one of my favorite teams for awhile, but even if they weren't I'd root for em just bc of the Tebow haters.

I have no faves, but was happy to see Denver win today.  Would like to see Arian do well.  Got tired of the Saints with all the hype two years ago, but still like Brees.  Don't hate the Packers, but don't really care for them either.  I like the Giants because of Eli and the fact that they beat New England in 2007.  Speaking of which GO BRONCOS!

I won't have any problem at all rooting for Tebow next week.   :biggrin:

I would rather see any team but the patriots, followed in distant second by the ravens. 

I'm with you! When they made it to the Superbowl everybody was yammering about how the city needed it. You'da thought thte way they were getting all the attention that they were the only U.S. city to have ever suffered a natural disaster! Piss on em'!

Manning is one good hit away from being a cripple for the rest of his life. Neck issues are not something to toy with. There are only so many millions you can spend. For him it is about the money and the competition. He is a compitition junky. But he needs to hang up his cleats while he can do it on his own. Love the guy though!

Yes, there's that, but I hate them mainly because I'm a lifelong Falcons fan, and have been conditioned to hate them since birth.   :bird:

Well the disaster in New Orleans was much worse than a run of the mill disaster.  It was most likely the worst in our history, it was terrible.  I wouldn't want to minimize that.

What I found silly was the thought that a win in a sporting event would somehow make up for that.  :rolleyes:

Sure, it can give them some civic pride, and make them feel better about being in New Orleans in spite of the long rebuild and lost $ and lives, but it's hardly going to bring anyone back to life or restore fortunes.  From the way some in the media talked.

I'm not a Saints fan by any means and I actually felt like Katrina was overblown to a point, but I think it's just natural that folks rally in situations like that.

It isn't unlike the sentiment amongst a lot of sports media types who would like to see Pat Summitt win a national championship this year.

I will root for the Saints. I like Drew Brees
