When it comes to hiring coaches, we assume we can't get someone, just because. When BVG's name popped up on Volquest, everyone says, "We can't get him, he's in the NFL". A few years ago when we were looking for a coach, and Rich Rodriguez was still an A-lister, we just assumed we couldn't get him because he was happy at his alma mater. A few days later, he takes the Michigan job. Whenever we hire our next head coach, I hope we won't limit ourselves in this manner. If Hart wants someone in particular he should make him an offer he can't refuse. I don't care who it is. Make him say no, then make him say no again. And then again. This is how bammer got Saban, if you'll recall. We shouldn't assume that anyone is off limits because "We're just Tennessee". We should have the mindset that we can get anyone we want because, dammit, "We ARE Tennessee".
