There are actually Vol fans that think he is not a big problem.  What are the odds of Da'Rick suddenly becoming a boy scout?  I say zero, he will be in trouble again, count on it.

I predict he'll be dismissed from the team sometime before the Georgia game.

You think he'll make it to the season opener?!?

He may be a problem, but he is one guy, and whatever he does won't save or sink the program. Most Vol fans realize that. Most Vol fans, hopefully, can hope that he has put this behind him. This is not a drug issue, it's an issue with his immaturity. Sounds like his peers have been helping him out as well. Yeah, I prefer to be optimistic about his chances. Sue me. And if he does turn out to have put this behind him, try to not be disappointed and admit you were wrong. I'll remind you.

I am sure you will, but to be honest with you.  I won't like Rogers, I don't care how well he does, I don't like prima Donas.  I don't like Kelly Washington to this day and IMO he wasn't near as damaging to team chemistry as Rogers is.

JMO, the the only chemistry Da'rick seems to affect is the fans.  I think fans are just looking for a scapegoat to blame the Kentucky loss on and Da'rick is as good a target as any.  So he has a big ego because he knows he is good.  So he rubs you the wrong way.  Thank goodness you are only a fan and not a teammate. Team chemistry was bad last year because the coaches did not get along.  Why do you think they left?  It would be an absolute miracle if every player on this team likes everyone else.  They do not have to be the best of buddies.  Just not enemies.

I hope this is the last of it.  I might have more confidence in Da' Rick than most of you.  Hopefully he has learned to tone it down a bit.   Come fall, winning is the solution to all our ills and can most likely go a long way to heal any team tension.

I hope he proves me wrong.

But what indication has this guy given that this time is different? SOS

That isn't the issue. Based on past history D Rogers probably has another incident of immaturity, but I am hopeful he has learned his lesson.

I don't know Rogers. I don't pass judgement on people I don't know. If you got to know him you may like him. And quite frankly, who cares if you like him or not.

Unless you are a male version of Mother Theresa, I am calling bs on the first sentence.  Like most people, I post MY opinion, people can like it, not like it, or they may not care,  doesn't make a bit of difference to me.  :dunno:

I don't care if DaRick has swagger or attitude on the football field.........he needs it there.  YOU ALSO  show respect to your coaches and you don't threaten them, and you conduct yourself like a champion off the field as well.  This is where DaRick fails.  I think everyone that has issues with RODGERS wants him to step up and be a leader, not a problem that will tear the team apart.

I think DaRick is an extremely talented and a beast at reciever, but has been given too many chances......................after the issue with threatening the S/C coach he should have been gone PERIOD DOT!
DaRick strikes me as talented, but lazy player who is not willing to lay it on the line for the team.

Agree 100%.
My feelings on DaRick will change when he steps up like a man and team player and shows me on/off the field a reason to get on board.

Who gives a shizzle what you call BS on?

I have no feeling towards D Rogers as a person, I know for a fact I won't know who he is based on third party info or some interview. He seems like a pretty good guy based on the interviews I have seen him do, does that mean he is? I dunno. I want him on the football team for purely selfish reasons, I want his production on the field. Other than that I have nothing invested in him, why would I like or dislike him?

You are the only person I have ever heard of that has never  passed judgement on a person they haven't met.

Da'Rick is a prima donna but we could use his production. Dooley is coaching for his job. It doesn't really matter anyway because after this year Bray, Hunter, Rogers, and Dooley will all be gone and we'll start over again.

The fact that Vol fans turn this into a contentious argument between each other is pretty stupid, with all due respect.

Dooley appears headed down Fulmer Lane with his approach to discipline of certain players, and the chances they got......................It spelt the end for PHIL.

There will be no talent kicked off the team this year.

Dooley could have a good year.  I have not given up hope just yet.

As for those three, are you suggesting that if DD has a poor year and is fired, they all go pro?  If he has a poor year, that might not be much of an option.  Or are you saying they just won't stick around...they will either test the draft with poor chances, or transfer?

The altenate - that Dooley has a good year - is also interesting.  If we go 9-3 or even 10-2 and make a decent bowl will one of them go pro?     I guess it depends on what kind of year each has. If so, this would be a good problem to have, if nothing else.

I think we'll probably lose at least two of them regardless of how the season goes.  The only reason Hunter may stay is because it could take him awhile to recover from his injury.

I can see how there would be an expectation of them going pro, but I question if they will go very high.  I guess we will see.
