Title: Roster question Post by: BanditVol on April 21, 2012, 08:49:50 EDT This is a list of DL returning players only. It was published prior to signing day.
DE Jacques Smith-Jr Willie Bohannon-Sr DT Daniel Hood-Jr .. NT Maurice Couch-Jr .. DE Marlon Walls-Jr Corey Miller-Jr Of that list, who will start and who will sit? And is McCullers going to be a big part of the rotation? On paper, he looks like a run-stopping beast in the middle. Any other frosh expected to contribute? Only O'Brien looks any good on paper, but I guess the other three add depth if nothing else. Any insight appreciated. I have not really been tracking this, and none of the places I normally go on the web are updated for 2012 yet. If anyone has a link to a current site that discusses our roster I would also appreciate that. My uneducated guess would be Couch, Sentimore, and McCullers start on the line, with Smith joining Johnson, Magitt, and Lathers at LB.

In fact, almost the entire team is coming back. If we had not suxed so badly last year that would be a really bad thing. Then again, arguably our three best players - Hunter, Bray and Lathers - were out most of the season, so the bottom line is that we should at least be better, even with the change in coaching staff. I am not overly optimistic, but we do at least finally have experience across the board and that has to be a good thing. Dooley really needs to put up now, and I wouldn't mind him shutting up a bit also. :biggrin: |
