Vols are the best in the SEC in this regard, second best in the country.

This reminds me that Alshon Jeffrey is gone from USC, which I didn't realize until the draft.  I think that's a huge loss, and that they are going to be down more than I thought this year.  I definitely don't see them going back to Atlanta, and our chances are much better than I thought.

I still don't trust that DD can pull it off and have a great year, but if he does USC won't be as big a fave as I thought previously.

SC's offense will get Lattimore back, I suspect they will run it more. Their defense should be pretty good too, especially the DEs

I wasn't sure about him.  Wasn't he in trouble for a while?

Last year, with their backup QB I thought we showed signs of competing with them even starting our backup in his first game ever and with what were (IMO) some abysmal decisions by our coaching staff.  So I do not fear them even though it's in Columbia.  I guess without Alshon I would consider them the 4th toughtest opponent and move uga up a slot.  It still will be a very tough game though.

Lattimore hurt his knee last year, I think.

No, he tore an ACL. Their QB Jeff Garcia was in constant trouble.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever heard anything about him being in trouble. From what I've heard he's always been a pretty solid citizen.

Yeah I was hazy on details and too lazy to look it up.  It was in fact an ACL.  Still, it sounds like they are going to be a bit one-dimensional on offense.  A running-style QB and top notch RB.   What has happened to sos?  LOL!
