Title: You guys might like this Post by: Orange Rampage on May 31, 2012, 03:59:15 EDT My lovely wife, who makes friends wherever she goes, recently made an effort to introduce me to a friend's husband because "he loves football like you do."
Fast forward to the meeting. I pull up to the house in my truck with the power T license plate on the front and Vols decals on the rear window. It's real clear where my loyalties lie. :powert: Well what do you know, He's a huge bammer fan. The worst kind. The ones with Tennessee tags and a bama frame. We actually got along fine, he wasn't a bad guy and there was just good natured smack talk and all was well. I later had to explain to my wife the nature of rivalries and this is how I chose to do so: These aren't just rivalries. They are blood feuds and what you did was the equivalent of: "Oh, your husband is in a gang? Mine too! Let's get them together so they can chat and hang out" MS-13 MEET 18th STREET! HAVE FUN KIDS! On the bright side, he is a Titans fan as I am. Not sure if that's bad or good that we had common ground. :box: Title: Re: You guys might like this Post by: droner on May 31, 2012, 05:31:33 EDT I have good friends who are Clemson fans and we all know what I think about the tiglets. It might be tough to have a good friend who is a Bama fan. But as long as they aren't too obnoxious, I guess anything is possible.

We are all fans of someone and I have no problem with that. Now, how big of an a**hole they are is usually discovered by thier fanship, no matter who they cheer for. Granted, bammers are likely a tough sell. You ate right to be cautious. Probably an ass, but could be a good 'ole boy and a good friend in the end. G. :bowrofl: |
