Title: Ahh, fatherhood.. Post by: VinnieVOL on July 13, 2012, 12:34:30 EDT Come home, greet the family. Chat with the wife and play with our son a bit.
Retire to the family room to watch some tv while dinner is wrapping up. It seems all is right in the world. Then I pick up my Harmony One remote and see the horrific remnants of my once mighty Logitech tool. The color LCD is screen is shattered. I scream in terror and my wife says "oh... yeah... " The horror. Title: Re: Ahh, fatherhood.. Post by: PirateVOL on July 13, 2012, 03:10:38 EDT Come home, greet the family. Chat with the wife and play with our son a bit. G Title: Re: Ahh, fatherhood.. Post by: BigOrange Maniac on July 13, 2012, 04:54:05 EDT I knew there was a reason I always stuck with the $7 universal remotes at Walmart as opposed to throwing down big money on a Harmony. :bowrofl:
My son's Xbox delivered the dreaded "ring of death" a couple of days ago just as I was about to settle down for some NCAA Football. My schoolgirl scream may have been nearly as loud as yours. I have to figure out some reason to ground him from video games for a while so I can have my console back. Title: Re: Ahh, fatherhood.. I waited until after my kids were toddlers to buy my harmonys. Totally worth the money. Title: Re: Ahh, fatherhood.. Post by: Quasi EVol on July 13, 2012, 06:09:53 EDT Next......, they drive. While I will attest that Harmony remotes live up to the hype, next time I'm not going to drop over $200 on the latest and greatest. It was my first Harmony so I got the top of the line (at the time). The next one I get will be within the realm of reason, as I've seen some good options around the $50 range. Title: Re: Ahh, fatherhood.. You must ask yourself young padawan.....do you need to spend that much money on the latest greatest electronic thingamajig.....for this way comes knowledge and wonderful insight that you dont need the latest 80" LED LCD color system that refreshes at a fabulous rate of 360 times a second and has 4D picture.......... I got the Harmony 700, which is just enough to control all my stuff. But if I add just one more component, I'll have to upgrade. I've seen it recently for as low as 79 bucks. I paid $150 at the time. :bawl: Title: Re: Ahh, fatherhood..
