Title: Anyone watching the LLWS? Post by: Black Diamond Vol on August 26, 2012, 12:52:47 EDT Goodlettsville is playing a California team for the US championship, the winner gets to face Japan for the world title tomorrow. TN was up 15-5 going to the bottom of the 6th (the last inning in LL). Cal scored 10 to tie. Now TN has answered with 9 in the 7th, and they're still batting with two outs. It's currently 24-15.

Title: Re: Anyone watching the LLWS? Post by: Black Diamond Vol on August 26, 2012, 01:09:42 EDT What channel is that on? It was on ABC, but it just ended. TN won, 24-16. I just hope a certain football team from TN can muster that kind of offense in a few days. Title: Re: Anyone watching the LLWS? Post by: droner on August 26, 2012, 01:16:53 EDT I'm watching the Braves game but I heard the announcers say that Petaluma (?) had scored ten to tie it up. Apparently it was quite a game.

Yeah, I was watching the Braves too, and when they said that, I switched over. :dunno: Title: Re: Anyone watching the LLWS? Title: Re: Anyone watching the LLWS? Post by: Black Diamond Vol on August 26, 2012, 09:54:25 EDT So apparently, LL has a pitch count rule. If you throw more than 20 pitches, you're required to rest the next day. After yesterday's slugfest, TN has four pitchers who are ineligible today. That really sucks- you'd think they'd want both teams at full strength for the championship game. But I'm sure ABC would balk at waiting another day or two to play it.
