Title: Vandy was robbed on a non-call Post by: BanditVol on August 31, 2012, 04:28:19 EDT The SC guy clearly grabbed the WR's arm.
But you know what? I could give a fizzle. :dielaughing: Title: Re: Vandy was robbed on a non-call Post by: PirateVOL on August 31, 2012, 04:32:32 EDT The SC guy clearly grabbed the WR's arm. It should not have come to that - candy blew 2-3 chances in the 1st quarter and couldn't execute against a one armed QB. The mouth of Neyland West will whine, a lot but that does not change the fact that HIS team blew it when they had the chance :nod:But you know what? I could give a fizzle. :dielaughing: Title: Re: Vandy was robbed on a non-call Post by: droner on August 31, 2012, 04:38:43 EDT That's a shame.

I really can't blame the 'Dore fans for being pi$$ed.
Whether VU could have scored even with the catch, noone will ever know. But I would say that there is at least an 8 in 10 chance that the receiver makes that catch if his arm isn't held. Should have been a 1st and 10 beyond midfield. Title: Re: Vandy was robbed on a non-call Post by: SouthwestFloridaGator on August 31, 2012, 03:48:07 EDT It was flagrant and the ref was right on top of it. And I continue to wonder about refs and how the "miss" some of these calls.

And I continue to wonder about refs and how the "miss" some of these calls. Yes. The LSU out of bounds on an int that was not overturned vs. bammer in 2009 comes to mind. Eli Gold, their radio announcer, said "this call will clearly be overturned". And then it wasn't but the evidence was irrefutable. The LSU player was NOT out of bounds. And there are certainly other calls. MSU got jobbed against Auburn last year. It does indeed make you wonder. |
