Well you follow recruiting much closer than I do.  Nevertheless, the article is saying he would be better off at UT, and I definitely agree.  :thumbup:

I stopped reading BR before the Oregon game 2 years ago.  Some OU columnist picked them to beat us by some crazy margin like 70-3.  I posted in the comments, "I'll take UT and 67 points for $1000.  Put your money where your mouth is".  And he replied, "LOL.  You really think UT is going to win by 67?" :laugh:

(Dammit if they didn't almost cover his ridiculous spread anyway, but that's beside the point.) :banghead:

Now I think it's Bama too.  I was seeing sand hearing some things yesterday that led me to make that prediction, but those have changed.  Getting Green would be awesome, though!

At 6'3" and 243 lbs with good speed he will be a tough one to bring down. Kinda reminds me of Brandon Jacobs. Would love to have a power back like this kid or Green as well. Both over 6 feet tall with good leverage and speed. Getting either one of these kids to verbally commit will have a major impact on reruiting other high profile players at every postion. So, come on down to Rocky Top either one of you or both of you, there is room for both of you here!!!!!!

Did you read it?  He didn't say that Henry IS coming to Tennessee, only that he SHOULD.  I happen to agree.   :nod:  And not just for my own team, but for his own interest.

My understanding is that people in his home town like to talk and they are saying bama.

No, as a matter of fact I didn't read it.  Whenever I see bleacherreport.com in the URL, I know it's going to be a homeriffic piece and skip it. :dunno:

Apparently   Saban has told him that being "the man" at TN will wear on his body, whereas he can be "the guy" at Bama in two years then be primed and his body be in good condition to take the NFL on.  Hard to argue with that logic, a RB only has so many years on his knees and whatnot.

Look for Green to come to UT, along with another RB. Could be Turman or Williams.

He'll be in real good condition when Bama inevitably goes through another round of NCAA sanctions and having no bowl games to wear on his body.  :tongue:

He picked Bama. No surprised, he's been Bama all along.

Do we know when Green is announcing?

I hear he's taking his Mich official in Oct and will announce after that.

If he is waiting to announce until after we lose to UGa, MSU, and Alabama, he ain't coming to UT either.

I think he's a EE, so probably late October.

Until we get an OC that will feature a RB we won't get a "big star" guy. 

Thus the paradox, OC can't feature a back when we don't have a feature back.

At least Rajion seems to get better as the season goes along.  He may just mature into a decent feature back.

Yes, I see the logic of that.  I mean, they only have played 8 RBs this year (yes EIGHT, look it up) and they have a true frosh who got about the same number of carries as Lacy.  Yeah, I guess he can wait a couple years.

But still, I see why he would want to go to bammer.  I mean, with Saban's personality, who wouldn't want to play for that guy?  He's like a kindly old uncle!

Then there's the garden spot that is Tuscaloosa Alabama.  What better place to go to school and eat barbecue and uh, do other things. .  I mean, someone told me it was the closest thing to So Beach outside the state of Florida!


My oh my, SO many good reasons for a recruit to go to bammer.  That nice Mr. Saban down there sure can recruit, I tell ya what!   :nod: :secret: :wink:

Neal has rushed for 356 yards, 408 total yards and 4 TDs this year. He is on pace to have a pretty good year. I think CDD should feature a two headed Neal-Lane attack more. Lane has been underutilized this year so far.
Oh and get the damn ball to CP.

Agree with most.  Have not been that impressed with Lane but he he has been good in spots.

I would slightly modify to "need to get Lane more consistent".   Also, Lane seems to do really well catching the ball out of the backfield...I wonder if it's a good idea to throw to an RB in a two-back set.  Might be  a good play on 2nd and short.

They already have two top running backs committed, specifically Altee Tenpenny (Rivals #4 RB) and Tyren Jones (Rivals no. 13).  This in spite of playing 8 RBs so far this year and having a true frosh with about the same number of carries as Lacy.  But Henry wanna go there anyway?

Wow Saban is like Jesus.  He walks on water and performs miracles.  But bammer fans already knew that.   :nod:

For all the sarcasm in this post, and the previous one, Bama's won 2 national titles in the last three years, are currently ranked #1, have the best coach in AMerican, had four players drafted in the first round of the NFL draft this spring, and feature a bonecrushing running game that has had a Heisman winner and a Heisman finalist in the last three years. Gee I wonder why a RB would want to go to Bama?
