Title: Interesting comment on Bray from ESPN "scouting guru" Todd McShay
Post by: BanditVol on September 29, 2012, 05:04:04 EDT
There was a segment on ESPN earlier in which McShay says that in the UF game Bray was 63% comp %with no pressure and only 23% under pressure.

 :wow:

I knew he didn't handle pressure well, but that's so much worse than I thought.  Vinnie you were right.  That is indeed "the film on Bray".

Question is, do our coaches realize that?   I can maybe see where Tyler has skated by up to now, since he has rarely started against a good team.  But it should be obvious by now that he doesn't handle pressure well.

It seems like something that could be worked on and corrected.  So this will be very interesting to watch today.  Uga is certainly going to bring pressure.  How will Bray handle it?   Could be a key to the game!

In a later segment, McShay says

"the pipes burst on Bray under pressure"

"he just does not see the blitz coming"

Okay Tyler...time to "Nut up or shut up" buddy!

I think the coaches realize, but the question is will they do anything about it?

UGA has been giving up a lot of short complete passes to start the game. Gotta think they will continue with the big cushion on Hunter and CP. Should open up the slant routes, or possibly a reverse for CP. But you know UGA is going to blitz, hope UT uses some screens and doesn't force anything early.

Good points from the land of the rising sun .  I had forgotten that uga has been vulnerable to the short pass. THat's  a plus.
