Title: Austin Nichols is visiting Oct 20
Post by: Volznut on October 04, 2012, 02:37:07 EDT
and the buzz on him is that he will likely choose the Vols right afterwards the week after, according to many in the media close to the situation.

If so, CCM will land 2 five star prospects in the class. Great job!

Hope it is true! Doesn't his sister play for Lady Vols? Looks like UT will remain a basketball school!

Maybe Jerry Green's class with Yarbrough and Hathaway.

No- I'm pretty sure it was Bruce's first full class, with Ramar Smith and Duke Crews.

You are right. Ramar was bumped up late to a 5 star

Oh well...those two didn't work out so great.

In fact, now that I think about it, that may be the ONLY time we've gotten two 5*'s in a class.  IIRC, Tony Harris, Charles Hathaway, and Vince Yarbrough, though all 5*'s, were all in different classes.  The only other 5*'s I can remember are Scotty Hopson, Tobias Harris, and Jarnell Stokes.  Slay wasn't, was he? :dunno:

Edit: Just checked, and Slay was a 4*.  Another 5*, believe it or not, was JP Prince.  Obviously we didn't get him out of HS, but I guess he still counts.
