Once again, 3rd and short, you are down a TD and he throws a LONG low % pass.

True. Jim Chaney has not helped the O either. Just a dysfunctional organization. The buck stops with Dooley. No doubt.

SHouldn't even be in the route tree except to clear space.

Well, the two receivers running short routes on the play were covered, well.

Wasn't the call, he was going to Hunter all the way since he had single coverage. Easy to cover a guy when they aren't going all out cause the ball isn't going to them. You try and get the first down on 3rd and three with a short pass, much higher percentage.

I just saw the play I think you are referring to (near end of 3rd quarter?) and I don't have a problem with it.  It is clear to me they had seen something on film and tried to exploit it, just didn't execute it.  Also, we clearly  had planed on going for on 4th before the play.

Ha, I said the same thing as Nut yesterday.

I'll go on record as saying I think Chaney has done a good job in three of his four years here (last year was awful). I was NOT a fan of Coach Cut's playcalling in a lot of situations either, but he was a great coach Sunday to Friday. I think the same about Chaney. His playcalling can be too creative, but I think he's very good organizationally. He's done a great job getting the running game going without any great RBs.
