I read that earlier.  Clay made a very poor choice of words when he said "officially".  Nothing is official until a public announcement is made.

He wasn't meaning it literally. He was just saying that after today there's no doubt that Dooley will be fired. And there isn't, of course. I would be pretty surprised if we don't hear something tomorrow or Monday.

The only thing "official" is that Clay Travis loves the sound of his own voice and he is a complete moron.

Hubbs saying he is done but that they might not fire him this week because they think it's not fair to the players since they still have a chance to go to a bowl.

That makes sense.  Which means that if UT loses to Vandy, CDD is gone within 24 hours I am guessing. Happy Thanksgiving.

I was one of the last to give him the benefit of the doubt but after today I saw the poorest show or lack there of in coaching that I have ever witnessed in any College football game ..EVER!..The fact that they blew the half time lead ,then the lead at the end of the game..48 secs left with the ball at the UT 40 and 2 time outs and you just let the friggin' clock run out and concede to OT without even trying to chunk it down the field to get into field goal position, maybe a friggin' pass int. call? ANYTHING? I have never seen UT football this bad in my 44 yrs

I like that, if true.  No sense effing it up for them when they still have a shot.

Isn't that the third time someone has said that?

There's a chance it's not true, but the odds certainly favor it being so.  Guess we'll see.

The only shot they have is going winless in the SEC after todays performance...They don't deserve to go to a bowl with a $hit defense like that..is a friggin embarrassment!

Don't care.  Don't want to see this team go 4-8, or any Tennessee team, no matter what.

I don't want to see it either but if it looks like a turd and smells like a turd..it's a turd!

I just think it's assuming a lot that this team will go to a bowl..from what they have shown me they don't want it bad enough nor do they deserve it...He needs to go asap imo

If you were talking about this, it doesn't say Dooley is fired.  Just that he should be.

I hate his list of coaches.  Gruden no. 1 (NOT gonna happen) and Petrino no. 2 (SHOULD never happen)

Yeah, he's an idjut   :frown:

It's not fair to the players to lose any chance of going to a bowl by keeping a coach who doesn't even try.  Dooley could end up at Bama (seeing as how he wins games for them every time he sees them).

:bowrofl:

I repurposed a joke I made up when Jeff Fischer went to St. Louis:
"Why wouldn't the Rams hire him?  He's already won a SuperBowl for them!"  :inughout:
