Volquest is reporting that it WILL be done but they are not reporting that he's been fired yet. So is Wes Rucker of 247. Both Rucker and Hubbs are on record as saying "Not if, but when." You want to limit the time a ship is rudderless so delaying the official announcement is helpful to keeping the guys in line, particularly those less academically motivated. Announcing the firing now just gives fans a good feeling, but doesn't necessarily benefit the program.
