I just can't stand the thought of the Irish getting to play in the NC. And Kiffin's is already so wounded that maybe helping him stick around there is a good thing. Or maybe I'm just justifying. For some reason I value Notre Dame not being #1 more than an additional defeat for Kiffin. I apologize to the ghost of Neyland. If USC was having a good season I'd be pulling for the Irish.
