Title: Interesting stat on AJ Johnson
Post by: Volznut on November 25, 2012, 02:04:47 EST
He led us in tackles and rushing TDs this year

I am not sure that's ever happened in the history of the SEC before

Really don't think he is all that good. He aint bad, but not elite. Don't think he can play in the NFL....too slow. I suspect he runs about a 4.8.

Disagree, there are a lot of MLBs slower than that in the NFL. MLB is all about instincts, and he has great instincts. He's got to work on his pass coverage some though.

This is just anecdotal, but many of his tackles seem to be assists after the fact.  As if he just likes piling on.  Or so it seems, but I am only basing that on watching the games.  I haven't actually counted or anything.

Did you note that most of the gashes through the "center" of the line were right at AJ's gap?

There were at least two instances where I noted (or at least alluded to) that during games or in the Game Report

Agree 100% on the need for improved pass coverage, though he was FAR from the worst cover LB we had this year (the  worst was beat at least three times Saturday)
