The cities aren't as big or as interesting, but the frontier kind of makes up for that. It has the recruiting system and Naval missions, which are awesome. But the crafting and economic systems are very needlessly complicated. And there aren't as many of the platforming missions as in AC2 ("Assassins' Tombs"), and those that are there aren't as good. I like Connor's story the best of the series so far, but the Desmond storyline is kind of ridiculous.
