Title: Hubbs says Hart will not interview anyone in NYC
Post by: Volznut on December 04, 2012, 03:14:02 EST
and there's a lot of smoke that a hire will be announced Wednesday.

Dooley has been fired since before the UK game, and Hart interviews 2 guys and its over? What about all of this doesn't make sense?

Wednesday will be a busy day, then.  That is the day rumored to bring Auburn's release of who will be our next coach.

Tennessee is required to interview at least three candidates.  Apparently at least two have been interviewed.  So if the third is going to happen, it clears the way for an announcement, if one is coming.  I expect it to take at least another week, but ICBW.

At least Hart is apparently interviewing some good candidates.

ICBW but I don't think this is true.

Nor, do I.  It is my understanding that by state regulations the position has to be publicly advertised for a specified period of time (I have heard different time periods on that - 3, 5, 7 days) before a hire can be made, but not a specific number of candidates that have to be interviewed.

There are some NCAA guidelines now dealing with minority candidates being interviewed, but I don't think they can alter state laws.

Hope he's just as successful as our bammer hires have been.
