Post by: crockettman on December 06, 2012, 12:21:32 EST The Tennessee Vols have reportedly offered the coaching job to Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy, reports Bruce Feldman: Bruce Feldman ✔ @BFeldmanCBS Tennessee has offered the Vols head coaching job to Mike Gundy, a source told CBS this morning. 5 Dec 12 The Vols fired Derek Dooley last month after he went 4-7 this season and 1-14 in SEC play for the past two seasons. There has been speculation for the past few days that the coaching job was narrowed down to Louisville’s Charlie Strong or Gundy, with some reports putting Strong above Gundy on Tennessee’s list. Now it’s a waiting game to see whether Gundy accepts, and if he doesn’t, will Strong? Clay Travis@ClayTravisBGID Strong or Gundy would both be great hires. Gundy has since said he's staying put, but I would be surprised if he was ever offered in the first place.
