Title: Very interesting week for my family this week Post by: Volznut on December 10, 2012, 03:21:30 EST My older daughter and her friend are auditioning Thursday for America's got Talent, the NBC TV show. They'll be in the Nashville convention center. They're not playing around, I have watched them rehearse. If they get through, they will be on TV in 2013.
They are actually very good, speaking unbiased (not easy to do) - I think they have a decent chance to get through. Wish them luck, and be ready to watch the show in 2013! One of my best friend's relatives (his cousin's daughter) was the second finalist last year on American Idol. I DVR'd him sitting in the front row. It was pretty cool. They do a very unique dance, incorporating elements of ballet, hip hop, and Bollywood styles - and they do their entire routine using hula hoops. A lot of hula hoop tricks are used in their dance, but it is a dance, not just hula hoop tricks. My daughter does the choreography, it's pretty tight. Pretty unique talent IMO. No, this audition is before the shows producers. They will let us know in Jan or Feb. If they do let them go to the next round, it will be in front of celebrity judges, which is on TV.
