If they didn't, they might as well just move to LA, because their fanbase (such as it is) will almost completely disappear. He's a good dude, no question about that. But he's a terrible NFL qb. So far, he has not been a good NFL QB. But, under the right circumstances I think he could be a very good NFL QB. I have seen some very average QBs do well depending on the offensive system. I don't think he'll ever "light it up" like Manning, Brady, Brees, et al., but with a decent defense, I think he can do enough to win (i.e., avoid mistakes and guide the offense).
