But the athleticism and timeliness of it made it one of the best hits I've ever seen. I mean, he literally got to the RB before the ball did. And to do it immediately after the bad call and take back the momentum...wow. :crazy:

Since the award is supposed to be about the particular season, not the overall body of work (example = Peyton Manning), he'll need a monster 2013 and South Carolina will have to have a very good or great season. Also, the current Heisman winner will be back and will probably be the frontrunner unless/until he messes up. As Manti T'eo showed this season at ND, it's tough to win as a pure defensive player, even if you lead your team to an undefeated season and number 1 BCS ranking.
