Title: Re: Todd Kelly Jr. is VFL Post by: Tnphil on March 11, 2013, 02:11:49 EDT Now that he has committed to Vols, will Rivals and Scout de-rate him to two or three stars? Exactly!!!....If he committed to Bama, LSU, tOSU they would give him 7 stars... Great get.....hope this gets the ball (recruits) rolling downhill!! Title: Re: Todd Kelly Jr. is VFL Post by: Inspector Vol on March 11, 2013, 02:40:30 EDT Maybe just maybe the beginning of coming out of the shadows.
Title: Re: Todd Kelly Jr. is VFL Post by: WoodstockVol on March 11, 2013, 02:47:26 EDT Maybe just maybe the beginning of coming out of the shadows. I think recruiting will be on the upswing. I think Coach Jones hard work and personality will draw top shelf players to Tennessee. I don't think it'll be long until Tennessee takes over recruiting dominance in Tennessee from Vanderbilt. Title: Re: Todd Kelly Jr. is VFL Post by: Black Diamond Vol on March 11, 2013, 02:50:43 EDT I don't think it'll be long until Tennessee takes over recruiting dominance in Tennessee from Vanderbilt. That sentence makes me sad. :banghead: Title: Re: Todd Kelly Jr. is VFL Post by: 10EC on March 11, 2013, 02:52:02 EDT That sentence makes me sad. :banghead: Sad hell... I just threw up... :hurl: Title: Re: Todd Kelly Jr. is VFL Post by: WoodstockVol on March 11, 2013, 02:58:01 EDT Sad hell... I just threw up... :hurl: Vandy's class was #19 and Tennessee's was #20. That's not bad for a new coach trying to keep the recruiting class from falling apart because of the last one being fired Title: Re: Todd Kelly Jr. is VFL Post by: Creek Walker on March 11, 2013, 03:27:56 EDT Recruiting dominance? As bad as things have been, how many guys did Vandy get this year that UT wanted? When UT is back on its game again Vandy won't even be on the same page in recruiting.

When UT is back on its game again Vandy won't even be on the same page in recruiting. I was just going by class ratings, sorry  When Tennessee is back,Vandy will be winning 3-4 games a season again. I think Their a&&hole Coach will be gone in the next few seasons and I'll be glad to see Him go. :hurl: Title: Re: Todd Kelly Jr. is VFL Post by: Volznut on March 11, 2013, 04:37:07 EDT How many stars is Todd Kelly Jr? I'm assuming 4 stars,at least He is a high 4 star, #59 overall player in the nation. To get to 5 stars, he'll have to probably climb to around #30. Title: Re: Todd Kelly Jr. is VFL Post by: 101stDad on March 11, 2013, 04:39:41 EDT No matter whether he ends up being a 4 or 5 star with Rivals and Scout, the bottom line is that he is one of the most highly recruited and coveted current junior/rising senior prospects in the country. His offer list, and most of those having offered before or during his junior season, proves what coaches think of him.
I've seen Kelly a couple of times live and several more while watching scouting DVDs and have really been impressed with the way he handles himself. He doesn't hot dog, doesn't show boat, doesn't try to make himself the center of attention. He just plays football, and acts like he's played before. And an addendum: The title of this thread says "VFL". I think we've seen over the last several months that VFL isn't exactly accurate. I've come to despise that term. I wish it had gone away with Derek Dooley. Title: Re: Todd Kelly Jr. is VFL Post by: Creek Walker on March 11, 2013, 05:15:30 EDT And an addendum: The title of this thread says "VFL". The point is that we have seen in the Tee Martin and Jay Graham situations that nobody is anything for life. My OPINION is that the term is kind of silly. The point is that we have seen in the Tee Martin and Jay Graham situations that nobody is anything for life. My OPINION is that the term is kind of silly. I agree with you on "VFL." I am taking a personal hiatus from using it to describe current players and coaches. There's nothing wrong with the VFL program or anything like that, but right now it just reminds me of Derek Dooley, Tee Martin, and Jay Graham, and I don't need to be thinking about them. VFN. If someone is a true Vol For Now and is helping us to be what we want to be, that should be enough to get us behind them. If they become lifelong supporters of UT, even better, but that's not the stick we have to measure everyone with. |
