We have a boatload of WR's...opens up a spot for a position of need.

I wonder if this was truly Powell's decision, or if the "Sabaning" of our class has begun.

And I'm not necessarily saying that would be a bad thing.  I've been saying for a while now that as the numbers got tight, some guys were going to get squeezed.

I wondered, too. But from all accounts, he's going to be a top-notch player...4-star talent packed into a small frame. I can think of a couple of commits I'd rather lose.

I dunno.  He's a 3* on all three major services.  He's undersized.  He's an out of state guy, and he doesn't play at a position of great need.  If I were going to start trimming this class, he'd be one of the first guys I'd look at.

I'm not necessarily saying that Butch told him outright to take a hike, but when the FL schools started to come at him, I wonder just how hard Butch fought to keep him.

As a general rule, I don't like to see commitments get "processed".  But apparently it's the cost of doing business in today's SEC.  I guess I can live with it, as long as we don't start doing that to kids right before (or even after) signing day, as some of our opponents have done. :dunno:

Agree.  Might have been all him though.
