Title: Oh, btw...

Our hoops team currently trails something called USC-Upstate by 13, with about 2 minutes to go in the first half. :frown:

Down 7 at the half.  Stokes shot from the free throw line has improved.

That team is so bad (SC Upstate) that there isn't even a line on the game. I guess you realistically couldn't fire Martin after the game if UT loses, but regardless of the outcome this should pretty much cement a "Sweet 16" or bust scenario for his future.

Actually, they aren't all that bad a basketball team.  They won at Virginia Tech last Saturday night.

Nah..."make the tourney" or bust I can definitely agree with.  Sweet 16 is hard to do for even a good team and coach.  It took Bruce a couple tries to get there.

I would expect to also win at least one tourney game though, and if we are a "one and done" it depends who we play and how we play them.  A "one and done" probably just prolongs the uncertainty with Martin till next year...a solid first win is without doubt an improvement over the last two years.

Sweet 16 would be phenomenal, but at this point I can't see Martin doing it.  Hope I am wrong though.
