That pretty much firms up all those reports about Petersen wanting to stay close to home. Goodness knows he could've had far higher profile jobs than that one.

If the rumors are accurate, he could've had the USC job. :dunno:

Didn't want it. This is better for him, he can be close enough to Idaho where his son gets some type of medical treatment

and crushes the ones that he would never leave Idaho for money.

His son has (or had...I think its in remission) a rare form of cancer and apparently Idaho is THE PLACE to treat it.  Or it could just be that Peterson is comfortable with the treatment his son gets there....either way it's a factor.
