Looks cold.

That's only because it is.

This is one year I am glad I'm not there in person.  I don't do well in cold and snow.   :inughout:

My Dad and Uncle were both Marines. They always said it was part of the Navy but I can't remember which part. Can anybody help me here?

And Army has fired Rich Ellerson after the loss, which was pretty much expected either win or lose yesterday.  Ellerson was going to be gone after last year, but the close loss to Navy bought him another year.  Army supporters don't expect miracles, but we do expect the team to at least be competitive with the mid-majors on its schedule.

I'm partial to Army also, as I work on an Army base (though not for the Army), but I put Navy first because of my Dad.

Air Force can GTH though.   :naughty:

If Army wants to be competitive then they need to lift thte height/weight restrictions just like the Air Force and Naval Academies have. It's one nthing to be competitive, another thing to go into a fight with one hand tied behind your back. Army brass has always had their collective heads up their hind end and always will. I say that as a proud Army retiree!.

Yep.  At the risk of it sounding like an excuse, it's really not a level playing field.  Navy and the USAFA can recruit prospects that the USMA can't.  Hgt/wgt restrictions, plus medical restrictions in place for admission to West Point are waived at USMA and USAFA.  And I understand the reasoning - being a Army soldier takes much more stringent physical demands (and that's reality) than it does serving in the Navy or Air Force.

It's a double edge sword.

Well, the USAFA is a country club compared to West Point.  Some Cadets/Middies do a semester "exchange" at other service academies and the USAFA Cadets who come to West Point generally have trouble keeping up with the physical demands.  The Fly Boys just can't handle it very well.
