Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Post by: Clockwork Orange on December 18, 2013, 03:45:10 EST The main suspense is with Lambert. We might lose him to AU. I feel like that whole thing has been somewhat manufactured. I think he's a Vol, but the recruiting "gurus" sure are having fun with it. Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Post by: Volznut on December 18, 2013, 04:13:30 EST The main suspense is with Lambert. We might lose him to AU. doesn't look like we will. He will sign with UT at 3:00 from all indications. Then it is Weatherd this summer as he is not an EE Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Post by: VinnieVOL on December 18, 2013, 09:08:32 EST I think he'll pick Auburn.
Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Post by: Clockwork Orange on December 18, 2013, 09:19:48 EST Apparently Lambert has now signed with Auburn.
Chose to use his two years to compete for PT at AU instead of starting from day 1 at UT. Seems like a pretty bad choice to me, but that's the Rodney Garner "magic" for you. Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Post by: Clockwork Orange on December 18, 2013, 09:29:46 EST Quote Committed to The University Of Tennessee ! #VFL #GBO This is still on his twitter page with Neyland in the background. Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Post by: VinnieVOL on December 18, 2013, 09:37:35 EST This is still on his twitter page with Neyland in the background. Then he is a jerkface. Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Post by: Clockwork Orange on December 18, 2013, 09:43:48 EST Then he is a jerkface. Three things to get out of the way: 1) UT wanted and needed this kid. This is a big loss. 2) You can't begrudge a kid for choosing the place he thinks is best for him. 3) This class is strong and I believe Butch will find a way fill the hole left by Lambert. Now then: 1) This was an idiotic decision if he wants to play. 2) It is completely devoid of class to string along a coaching staff you've committed to for this long. He's not the first and won't be the last, of course, but it's shizzlety. 3) Rodney Garner can GFH. And now I feel better. Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! But one that lies to your staff and drops a bomb on you the last minute, that's the worst. Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Post by: murfvol on December 18, 2013, 10:02:49 EST I'm happy with the guys we have, and don't worry too much about the losses. I wasn't an athlete, but wasn't sure where I was going to school until the 11th hour. My guess is some guys waffle. I get that. They might like two, three, or four places.
It's not that they planned something nefarious, they just could only pick one option. Also, some guys hate telling people no. They're not trying to play anyone, it just appears that way. Then you don't commit. I think that's pretty straightforward. Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! This is not a scenario that's unique by any means but I hope Lambert spends his entire career at Auburn sitting on the bench waiting his turn. Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! You mean Rodney "$$$$$$" Garner AKA The Bagman Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Post by: Screaming Eagle Dad on December 19, 2013, 03:13:18 EST Lambert signing with Auburn is a loss. If that's where he wants to go then so be it. Like many of you I do believe that he will be competing for playing time at Auburn, whereas at Tennessee he would have, more than likely, been a starter. It's his choice regardless of the circumstances, motives, or anything else. Bottom line is he's not a VFL. It's another door closed-another door opened situation. Time to move on and find one that will lock in, eat, sleep, breath, and eat Tennessee Orange and be a VFL. Go Butch, Go Big Orange, and Go Team 118!!!

Post by: HerbTarlekVol on December 19, 2013, 03:34:01 EST You mean Rodney "$$$$$$" Garner AKA The Bagman Yep, that Rodney Garner, and he was a great bagman when he was OUR bagman. Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Post by: murfvol on December 19, 2013, 04:48:51 EST I agree with Clock that the right thing to do is not commit, but I also get 18 year-olds feel pressured. Some are strong-willed, but some think they're supposed to make adults happy.
I get kids breaking verbal commitments, and not intending anything malicious. Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Thoughtless and irresponsible, though-- yes. My expectations are too high, I suppose. Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Post by: Wayne on December 20, 2013, 06:36:44 EST Well I agree with Clocky that he will compete for playing time . . . but at Auburn that is true no matter. We rotate 11 DL all game. I'm sure UT wants to be in that same position.

Lol, smh. 2011 memories are flooding back and I am remembering why you guys are almost as bad as UGA fans when you have a good team. I hope FSU beats the snot out of your bunch. Peace be with you, and may your condescension bring you much haught and self-fulfillment. Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Post by: HerbTarlekVol on December 20, 2013, 11:14:49 EST I think Auburn made him the $$$$$$$$$ Bagman!!!!!!! And you honestly believe that there was no $$$$$$ involved when he was able to sign the Big 3 out of Georgia when he was recruiting for UT. Take off the orange colored glasses. Title: Re: Happy JUCO signing day! Post by: BanditVol on December 20, 2013, 11:33:03 EST I am shocked Garner is still at Au ... but then again maybe not.

Post by: Tnphil on December 21, 2013, 02:17:09 EST Auburn has never met a rule they wouldn't break and this A-hole is on a UT board preaching? Bama and Auburn wrote the book on cheating together. They just get pissed at each other when one beats the other at adding a new chapter.
