He'll land on his feet somewhere probably as an OL coach and be successful. P.S. Maybe Franklin will move down the street?

I understand he was going to have to fire several asst. coaches including his good friend and OL coach Bruce Matthews.....Munch wouldn't do it.

Looks and sounds like the Titans knew he wouldn't fire then and let Munch fire himself.

The NFL is a business.  You can be as loyal and be a good person.  But in the end, you have to win ball games.  IMO the Titans were never going to be better than average with Munchak because his coaching choices were mediocre at best.  If he agreed with the coaching decisions to play some of the people they played, the results are proof of his inability to judge talent.  If you are not ready to fire people your boss says to, you end up fired.  As HC, you are judged by the staff you assemble and Munch picked mostly poor coaches.  He will get one year of pay regardless, but the Titans should have done this last year.

I hope the Titans pick a HC that can assemble a staff that can actually judge players and can coach.  I hope the management can stop selecting players based on money rather than playing ability.  In the draft, they always talk about drafting players for value (i.e., we picked cheap players we knew we could sign for league minimum).  They keep letting players go to keep payroll down except this year.  They still lost because they could not block or keep from drawing a flag on offense.  On defense, they are world beaters until the 2nd half and then they could not stop a Grasscutter League team.  This all boils down to coaching.
