Title: Re: Here is the Manning article you were waiting for Post by: Black Diamond Vol on January 22, 2014, 05:33:49 EST Here's the one I've been waiting on. Frankly, I'm dumbfounded to see this from a national media outlet.
Brady has the skins on the wall, easing his postseason failures of the past nine seasons, but it doesn't mean he gets a pass. He's still one of the all-time greats, but if Peyton Manning were doing the same thing Manning would be taking a beating. When Brady loses, it's on the team. When Manning loses, it's on him. Big difference. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/pete-prisco/24414615/monday-musings-is-tom-brady-now-a-big-game-loser Title: Re: Here is the Manning article you were waiting for Post by: BanditVol on January 22, 2014, 09:11:38 EST Here's the one I've been waiting on. Sunday night on ESPN Tom Jackson and Trent Dilfer were saying that if Peyton could become the first starting QB to win two SBs with different teams, the debate was over. Jackcon called it "a walk off homer". I think that Peyton did it after recovering from a severe neck injury speaks volumes. Title: It amazes me how a QB that can do what Peyton does and has Post by: VOLMAN on January 22, 2014, 01:54:08 EST accomplished all that he has and owns the records that he owns is questioned at all. I once argued with a guy, this was before his SB victory, who said he wasn't an elite QB because he never won a NC or a SB. I asked if he realized that it is a team sport and the QB is only one of 22 positions on that team, it didn't change his opinion at all, the QB was responsible. So I asked him if he considered Trent Dilfer and Doug Williams elite QBs over the likes of Fran Tarkenton, Dan Fouts, Dan Marino and Peyton and he said yes....I told him he was a stubborn idiot and left. :patriot:
