Title: Saw Mel Brooks interviewed and he was asked about appearing in his own.....
Post by: PanhandleVol on February 12, 2014, 01:29:55 EST
films (such as Blazin' Saddles) and as to why he did not appear in the classic (my favorite comedy of all time) "Young Frankenstien". He said Gene Wilder told him he would not do the film unless Brooks promised to not appear. Wilder hated Brooks doing crazy stuff like he did off the cuff in Blazin' Saddles.

Well as great as Blazing Saddles is, I have always hated the ending.  That ending is probably the type of crap Wilder was talking about.
