This team isn't going to hit a ton, but they appear to have solid pitching and play good defense. I certainly expect them to be a much improved team, and be competitive in the SEC. It was good to see some excitement about Tennessee baseball at Lindsey Nelson again today.

I don't know what the ceiling is, but we are about to have a competitive baseball program again. I doubt that the ceiling for this particular team is very high, but as a program, it should be no less than a CWS Championship. Maybe baseball was once the exclusive domain of warm-weather schools, but no longer. Oregon State has won a couple titles recently, and several others have advanced very far. There's no reason we can't do the same. |
