She also developed the habit of only retrieving 4 to 5 times before she wanted to play "Pull your arm out of socket". At that point she wanted to lie down and chew on the toy until she went to sleep.
She also always assumed she was a lap dog, even at 85 lbs. I taught her to stand or lie down and put only her head in a lap. She was satisfied with that. After she died, I did not want another dog.
