Title: Clausen to be honored at game Post by: BanditVol on October 02, 2014, 06:13:44 EDT http://www.knoxnews.com/govolsxtra/columnists/strange-big-day-awaits-for-justin-worleys-legacy_39506166
The article mentions that Clausen is the only UT qb of the last 50 years to beat Florida twice. I never thought about that but it's true. If the sob had held on to the ball in 2002 he could have been 3 and 0. if ever there was a year we should have won it was 2002. Well here is to exorcising some ghosts this weekend Title: Re: Clausen to be honored at game Post by: BanditVol on October 02, 2014, 06:14:36 EDT Oh and the article is mostly about Worley and is a good one.

Bob Davie called both he and Rick Clow-zun when he was doing color for ESPN and worked games UT played in. To be fair, that's a bit misleading. UT and Florida never played on a regular basis until the SEC went to divisional play in 1992. Before that, UT and UF played about as often as UT and LSU played, which wasn't very often. Not many starting UT QBs even played Florida twice in their careers prior to that time. Unfortunate because we really should have beaten them more. |
