Title: Spurrier's Future Post by: Mean Old Man on November 05, 2014, 11:21:39 EST In light of post-game conference blow off, article at Bleacher Report asks the question, "Is the end for Steve Spurrier?" Perhaps the question is typical of the media/fan overreaction we often see following a bad loss, but I do recall him remarking in the past that ten years is long enough for a coach to stay at a school.

He's taken USC as far as they will go.........but, SOS has a big ego and I'm not sure that ego will allow him to go out on a bad season.
Title: Re: Spurrier's Future Post by: 73Volgrad on November 06, 2014, 09:56:10 EST According to this mornings news, Spurrier is not commenting about commitments past 2015. It gives the impression 2015 will be his last year. He may have peaked at South Carolina.
He is old enough to retire and he should. Everyone should have the chance to retire. I retired in May this year early at 63. I just wanted to retire while I still had the chance to enjoy it. Life is too short to not eat dessert first. |
