I like BuJo, but this article is on point.

Well it was too painful in the immediate aftermath of the game to admit, but it's hard to argue now. Jones has lost two games that the team won. From hero to goat just that fast. I don't understand why we can't get a coach with swagger & confidence on game day. Sad, really.

Clay Travis makes points that are hard to deny.  How can any UT fan feel confident that UT has a game day coaching advantage?  UT pretty much has to out-talent other teams to win.  Jones and his staff have some soul searching to do.  :confused:

Now that Clay is affiliated with a supposed "legit" media outfit in Fox Sports, I really don't know how he still gets away with some of the crap he does.  You don't see the F word on ESPN or CBS Sports. :dunno:

Detracts heavily from whatever he might have to say that would otherwise be worthwhile, IMO.  :old:

You blow 2 of the only 3 games lost while leading in the 4th qtr in the entire 191 FBS games this year..With the recent history of this team..You deserve the F word imo

The "F" word is just a word. Wasn't bothered in the least by that. He also sits on his ass and dissects EVERYTHING retrospectively. That is more appalling!

I'm hardly a prude when it comes to profanity, as my posting history on this very board will attest.  But on a mainstream site like Fox Sports, it just seems out of place.  And it makes it harder to take him seriously.

Yup!

That column was written from the perspective of a UT fan/homer, which Clay certainly is.  He is channeling all the rage of the legions of the miserable IMO.

That isn't to say some of his points are not valid, they are.  But he piles on everything and some of it is BS.

Bingo...I've noticed during Butch's time here that against teams Tennessee should beat they open up the offense. Against tougher talent he has a tendancy to be very conservative. He also has a tendency to not open things up until its pressure time, witness the South Carolina game last year. Many of us questioned Mike Bajakian's play calling last year, but Bajakian would not have had the sloppy game plan the DeBord did. Face it, if not for two trick plays in the first half it very well could have been only a 3 points for Tennessee at the half.
