Title: Listened to Butch on the way home tonight
Post by: PirateVOL on October 04, 2015, 06:06:10 EDT
Before I got torqued.
I'm not sure what game he watched but it wasn't the one I did.

well we are stuck within him till 2016. He needs to be humble, realize he made mistakes hiring his buddies, and go out and hire some competent coaches. He will only be as good as his assistants. He also needs to go ahead ad bench Dobbs, roll with Dormady the rest of the year.

Botch is clueless......over his head. If people can't see it then there's no hope.

He needs the best OC and DC out there.....recruit said talent to let them coach them and Butch can kiss babies, shake hands with the big donors and speak at fund raising events. It's our only hope....right now we have MAC coaches and retreads that didn't cut it at other SEC programs.

I can't listen to him. He's worked really hard and done a lot of good,  but I'm not sure he's the sharpest knife. I mentioned it in the game thread (as did at least one other poster), but his insistence on snapping the ball with > 15 seconds on the play clock on our last first half possession was coaching malpractice.

He doesn't understand the methodology behind strategy he espouses. You can't go fast and substitute. It's completely nonsensical. I won't quibble over hurrying up or slowing down, but you should do either correctly.

Agree.  I haven't given up on Dobbs though. I can't forget how he led us back against USC jr last year and I thought his effort against UF was heroic as well.

I know he isn't throwing very well at all, but I think we should stick with him as the starter.

Now, having said that, if Butch wants to put Dormady in when Dobbs is struggling at some point, I wouldn't quibble.

I just wonder how much time Dobbs has for football.  Last night in an interview he said his teammates hassle him because works all the time on homework.  I am guessing he's not a film room addict like Peyton, unfortunately.
