Title: That USC jr game last year just got bigger
Post by: BanditVol on October 13, 2015, 06:42:31 EDT
To think we beat the Ole Ball Coach the last time we faced him by scoring two TDs in the last 2:20 of the game just warms my heart.

And the two sacks in OT to drive them out of FG range just add a punctuation mark.

For that matter we beat him decisively in the swamp his last year there as well.

Alls well that ends well!

Truly a man you love to hate.  But, gotta be honest, if he had announced end of season, and was coming here Nov 7, I might be tempted to tip my cap, maybe even stand and applaud a little.  He has been a huge part of Tennessee football history for 20 years.  Plus, every now and then, he is genuinely funny.  Have a good retirement, HBC.

Don't forget, we were present at the swamp when he was sent off as the UF coach, with a LOSS

CBJ has a 100 pct record against old ball sack..2-0.. ain't too many coaches can say they were perfect against him in more than 1 game..The only let down was that Scurrier hit the road before loss number 3  :naughty:

This. As much as would have loved to kick him in the nads in the past, I respect the hell out of him and I would.loved to give him some applauds

I have always liked SOS. I grew up in Bristol and he was always big news in the Tri-cities area. He was good for college football. I even laughed at his barbs at Fulmer. He is a good guy when all is said and done. He said what he felt.
