Title: Kicking to the West (downwind) Medly good (distance wise) from 60+ Post by: PirateVOL on November 01, 2015, 12:19:56 EDT Wind will be a factor in the kicking game.
Last week it was swirling but this week more east and west due to the lower endzones Title: Re: Kicking to the West (downwind) Medly good (distance wise) from 60+ Post by: Black Diamond Vol on November 01, 2015, 12:25:22 EDT Well of course. Medley is a Warmup All American. Then the game starts... :banghead:

We are a FG kicker away from having perhaps the best special teams in CFB. We are first in Kick Returns, 4th in Punting, and 15th in Punt Returns. Interestingly we are only 117th in Punt Return D, but that only lowers Net Punting to 15th. So okay, work on Punt Return D, but overall really good on special teams, just need to better FG kicking and punt D. Only big breakdown I can remember on punt coverage came against UGA, and that should've been called back. Is there another that I'm forgetting? Is there another that I'm forgetting? I've seen us give up 15-20 yards a few times. Per this site we give up about 15 yards per return. http://stats.ncaa.org/rankings/change_sport_year_div That is based on only 12 returns though, so one really long one and a few middle distance ones could really skew it. It could be that Daniels outkicks the coverage every now and then.
