I know USC isn't great this year, but they have looked a bit better since SOS left.  They still have the guy who damn near beat us all by himself last year.  And have we really turned the corner to the point where we can just assume a win over any SEC team not named Vandy?  I think the 17 point spread is ridiculous.  And the flippant/dismissive attitude I see on some Vol boards regarding this game scares me a bit.  Someone talk me down from the ledge. :run:

Since sitting in Williams Brice and watching Steve Tanneyhill's sophomoric antics and having to endure the partial filming of that stupid movie The Program AND having my heart ripped out by running the stupid swing pass play on the filed 2 point conversion attempt after one of the most incredible runs I have ever seen by Mose Phillips, I have NEVER felt comfortable about playing South Carolina.   :confused:

Their defense is possibly worse than UK's. They have a playmaker on offense but we beat a better USCe team last year on the road with a worse team. UT's continues to get better too. I think we win about 34-21

When UT is playing I'm NEVER NOT worried.....It has something to do with being a UT fan for almost 61 years. :biggrin:

I think the spread is too much. When is the last time Tennessee was favored by 17 against ANY team in the SEC? Still, I won't get to watch a minute of the game (I have to delivery a eulogy at a funeral, followed by coaching my Jr Pro basketball team) and that really doesn't even bother me. I guess I'm as over-confident as the rest. Lol.

The Cocks are loose and playing with nothing to lose. We need to get up by a couple of TDs early and take the steam out of them. If that happens, we will be fine. Let them hang around and that's when I get nervous.

we should not be taking them for granted.  The team was very motivated last week against UK, and I expect that to continue.

Still, it is possible they are lethargic. I  guess we will see.

I think this may be the biggest test of the year.  they struggled early and seem to have turned it around the last 2 weeks.  Sometimes it's easier to fight when you're an underdog, then the questions becomes "can you handle success"?
