Tennessee needs a killer instinct.  We don't have it yet.  Hopefully it won't be much longer or else my blood pressure won't be able to take it.

It's been "Close Call Saturday" in the SEC today.  Not all the favorites survived.  We did.  Learn from it and move on.

What bothers me and it's a pattern with us. When teams adjust to what we are doing we have no answer for it. We held on and it should have never come down to that.

Malone's dropped TD didn't help, but agree shizzlety overall. I'll take the W!

Even as poorly as we played in the second half, this game isn't even close without a ton of untimely drops, turnovers, and penalties.  Stupid mistakes just killed us. Had we lost, I would've pinned this one more on the players than the coaches.  They didn't call a great game, but it was good enough to win comfortably had the players executed better.

the crown jewel of the mistakes was the personal foul that led to the replay of the fumble we almost got away with   :frown:

I thought the dropped pass to Malone may have been the best pass Dobbs has thrown this year.

It was a perfect pass. Where was Malone today? Weird.

I don't remember seeing Kamara even touching the ball after he fumbled. No runs or passes to him that I can remember and the running game went south after that. Hurd is the work horse but Kamara gives their offense a spark on the edge.I wish they would give him the ball more. Swing passes, screens, anything thing to take advantage of his speed

...that set them up deep in our redzone for the game tying TD.  That could've been disastrous.  Had we lost, I don't know if I would let Wiesman see the field again. :frown:

^This.....We use Kamara a few plays and get good positive yards and all of a sudden no more Kamara. In the first quarter we had him and Hurd back there together.....got up 14 and poof...gone.

That's exactly what I said after he disappeared.

After the open date the staff seems to have become more aggressive in sitting players after TOs or poor performance.  The only obvious exception is Dobbs.
Examples that come to mind include #12, #33, #13, #6

#12 still managed to completely blow coverage on cooper on one of their TDs.

Cooper is very good, but...
